Zombie bride costumes are a great way to celebrate Halloween. Now, you can discover how to make your very own zombie bride costume by following this article. To make a zombie bride costume at home it will take some imagination, a little time, and some effort on your part. But for little to no cost you can create your very own zombie bride costume look.

First, you need to imagine what your zombie bride costume will look like. Try to imagine if you ever ran across a zombie bride what would it look like? Would it be scary? Would it be dirty? Would it be ugly? Probably a combination of all of those. You need to brainstorm and write down what your zombie bride costume will look like for Halloween. First you will require a veil. It’s a zombie’s wedding veil so it needs to be dirty, torn, or matted. Possibly all of those. It is also completely optional. You will also require make-up to make your zombie bride’s face really ugly and scary.

The second step is to visit your local goodwill, salvation army, or thrift shop to buy an old wedding dress. You might not find an actual wedding gown but you can always find a pretty dress that can stand up as a stand in. It really doesn’t matter if the gown is ripped, dirty, or just ugly. Zombie bride costumes should be ugly and the uglier the better the costume will be.
The third step is to visit Wal-Mart or a costume shop and purchase some Halloween makeup. You should buy some black lipstick and possibly some fake blood. White face paint is optional but it would help to make your zombie bride look very pale and undead. Also large fake eyelashes would be a plus to making your zombie bride costume look even uglier and more frightening.

The final step is to rip, wrinkle, and possibly spread a little dirt on your zombie bride gown. Your zombie bride costume needs to look old and giving it that well worn look will only add to the appeal. You want people who encounter you to believe that you have just dug yourself out of a graveyard for your Halloween wedding.

Helpful hints: Rolling the dress in ashes or mud enhances the dirty look. Use your imagination when making your dress dirty. A zombie bride costume needs to be creative as well as functional and safe to wear. If the zombie bride dress is too long for the person who is to wear it, then you can cut it to make it shorter. You can also pin up the train of the dress with safety pins to keep it from dragging the ground.

Another helpful tip: Purchase a Lady Godiva wig at Wal-Mart or other costume shop. Mat it with dirt, grease, or ashes. This will help give a stringy look to the hair while protecting your own hair from your having to put makeup or dirt in to it. Always wear bright reflectors or clothing if you are going to be out on as zombie bride costume Halloween night and walking in or near traffic.
